What type of Sod is best for my yard?

Bluegrass has a thinner leaf, is dark green and is well suited for full sun, irrigated areas.  Bluegrass requires slightly more maintenance than Fescue.

Fescue has a broader leaf and is well suited for shady areas yet it does well in full sun.  Fescue has a deeper root system allowing it to tolerate drought conditions.

When is the best time to install a new lawn?

Sod can be installed year round, even on frozen ground, assuming it is available.

Where will you deliver and what is the minimum amount shipped?

We deliver to the tri-state area, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.  The minimum order shipped is 1500 sq. ft. for local delivery.

How long do I have to install my Sod after delivery?

In the summer, you must install your Sod the same day.  In the Fall and Spring, depending on temperature, you may have up to 24 hours.

Can you spot pallets of sod at requested locations throughout my yard when I have a fence?

Yes, as long as you have an 81/2 foot opening thru the fence.

When can I mow my new lawn?

Generally between 2 to 3 weeks after installation, make sure you set your mower to the highest setting.

What is the Minimum amount of Sod I can purchase?

If you are picking it up, there is no minimum.

How much can I fit in a pickup truck?

A pallet of sod, 500 sq. ft., weighs 2000 pounds.  A standard pickup truck will hold 1 pallet.
